Job Overview
The Senior SQL Developer supports a rapidly growing, multi-business group by maintaining and enhancing Power BI reporting, automating data processes, and ensuring accurate, reliable data within the Salutem Database. Working across departments, the role delivers efficient SQL solutions, improves workflows, and provides clear insights for decision-making. The postholder manages the Azure environment, resolves data and reporting issues, and upholds strong standards for data quality, security, and compliance.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise the Azure environment.
- Deliver high-quality SQL and BI solutions, including Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Automate reporting and data processes across systems.
- Provide documentation, training, and user support.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and collaborate on data-driven insights.
- Ensure data accuracy through cleansing, validation, and understanding system data structures.
- Troubleshoot issues with SQL, Power Query, and Power BI.
- Deliver intuitive reporting for users of all technical levels.
- Carry out additional duties as required.

What We’re Looking For
- Advanced proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL) and relational database design.
- Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and BI tools (Power BI essential).
- Strong knowledge of Azure SQL and cloud database platforms.
- Skilled in data modelling, performance tuning, and optimisation.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage projects, engage stakeholders, and build strong relationships.
