Deputy Manager – Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality, person-centred care services.
Key duties include:
- Supporting the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring individuals receive safe, effective, and person-centred support.
- Promoting the health, safety, wellbeing, rights, and independence of the people we support.
- Ensuring compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding requirements, company policies, and contractual obligations.
- Leading, supervising, coaching, and developing support staff through recruitment, induction, training, supervision, and performance management.
- Managing staff rotas and workforce planning to maintain safe staffing levels and high-quality service delivery.
- Monitoring quality assurance processes, incidents, risk assessments, care plans, medication administration, and record keeping.
- Supporting audits, regulatory inspections, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Building positive relationships with families, professionals, local authorities, and external agencies.
- Supporting occupancy growth and service development through effective partnership working.
- Acting as a role model and providing leadership in the absence of the Registered Manager.
- Investigating complaints and supporting the resolution of staffing and operational issues when required.

You will have experience within health and social care, strong leadership and communication skills, a passion for delivering outstanding person-centred support, and a commitment to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
