Are you a compassionate and dedicated nurse looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with neurological motor impairments and complex needs?
Ingfield Manor School is seeking a qualified Nurse to join our small, supportive nursing team. You’ll be responsible for a caseload of students, working closely with a trans-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in a nurturing educational environment.
About the Role
You’ll be part of a small nursing team, overseeing the healthcare needs of students aged 3–19 with neurological motor impairments such as cerebral palsy, and associated medical and sensory needs. You’ll work closely with a trans-disciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care and contribute to a holistic approach to education and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of students and maintain accurate nursing records.
- Liaise with health, education, and social care professionals.
- Support medicines management and emergency care planning.
- Deliver training and supervise staff on care competencies.
- Participate in student assessments and specialist clinics.
- Occasionally deputise for the Senior Nurse and contribute to on-call cover.
Requirements
Essential:
- Registered Nurse status (NMC)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good IT skills and accurate record-keeping
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
- Experience working in a trans-disciplinary team
- Empathetic, adaptable, and motivated with a non-judgmental approach
Desirable:
- Paediatric Nurse qualification
- Knowledge of cerebral palsy and awareness of disabilities
- Experience supporting young people with neurological impairments
- Report writing and safeguarding knowledge
