Learning Support Worker (Education)

If you have as passion to support some of the most vulnerable special school leavers to fulfil their potential, through support for the planned, high-quality delivery of learning, this role is for you.
We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Worker with a passion to support special school leavers in their journey to prepare for adulthood. Ideally having experience of supporting learners to learn in particular experience with students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). You will be creative and able to support teachers to adapt learning to support learning and personal development, you will support the monitoring of achievement through an evidence-based progression portfolio.
Your team will include teachers, tutors and learning support colleagues. On a regular, you will also work with a skilled and experienced team of student support workers, with small class sizes and high levels of support. Our pathways are highly personalised and alongside Preparing for Adult Hood, learners will each have a bespoke package of health and support interventions including physio and hydrotherapy, speech and language therapy and occupational therapy, access to a skilled and experienced team of assistive technologist, and positive behaviour practitioners.
Vocational themes of learning support students to make progress, both educationally and in self-advocacy, confidence, self-belief and resilience in preparation for life beyond college in busy and fulfilling destinations.
