Be the nurse who turns “good intentions” into safe, auditable practice
At Salutem, we’re committed to delivering high-quality, enabling support in environments that are safe, homely and supportive. We’re innovative, solution-focused and serious about continuous improvement—and we’re looking for a Quality Assurance Registered Nurse to help us raise the bar across our services.
This is a brilliant role for a Registered Nurse who enjoys clinical governance, loves improving systems, and can work alongside services to make delegated healthcare safe, lawful, person-centred and inspection-ready.
The role (what you’ll make happen)
Working under the direction of the Clinical Governance Lead Nurse, you’ll provide assurance and hands-on support across services, focusing on:
Delegated healthcare assurance (non-registered staff)
- Support services to implement delegated healthcare safely and consistently
- Strengthen documentation and evidence (e.g., protocols, review dates, monitoring and escalation instructions)
- Spot risks early—missing authorisation, unclear instructions, competency gaps—and help services put controls in place fast
Training & competency support
- Help embed delegated healthcare training and competency sign-off processes
- Support services to maintain accurate, auditable competency records and refresher plans
- Work with Learning & Development to align training records and inspection evidence
Audit, improvement & inspection readiness
- Complete audits/assurance visits, produce clear reports and support action plans with timescales
- Coach teams to improve day-to-day governance and practice
- Help ensure services are ready to evidence compliance for CQC/CIW/Ofsted
Clinical supervision compliance (operational nurses)
- Support monitoring of supervision completion and quality
- Escalate concerns through agreed governance routes and support recovery plans
Who we’re looking for
- Registered Nurse (Adult / LD / MH) with active NMC PIN
- Post-registration experience in community, social care and/or complex needs settings
- Strong understanding of delegation, competency-based assessment and risk management
- Confident producing clear audit reports and constructively challenging to improve practice
- Organised, resilient and comfortable managing a varied UK-wide workload
- Willing to travel regularly across England and Wales (including overnight stays)
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to undertake)
Why join Salutem?
