Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that drives strong pupil progress and achievement
• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons aligned to curriculum goals and EHCP outcomes
• Maintain excellent classroom management in line with school policies
• Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress using school systems
• Implement and evaluate curriculum plans, behaviour strategies and assessment tools
• Create a positive, engaging learning environment that supports all learners

Professional Practice

• Stay up to date with educational developments and school priorities
• Demonstrate strong personal qualities: nurturing, adaptable, enthusiastic, and committed
• Work collaboratively to achieve shared goals and maintain clear team accountability
• Ensure all pupils access high-quality teaching and learning opportunities

Collaboration & Leadership

• Promote the school’s vision and values across the wider community
• Work effectively with leadership, families and external professionals (e.g. SaLT, OT, Behaviour Support)
• Foster a strong team culture focused on outcomes for children and families
• Adhere to policies on safeguarding, equality, and health & safety

Teaching & Learning

• Monitor and improve teaching effectiveness and pupil outcomes
• Use creative, responsive teaching strategies and appropriate technology
• Plan inclusively, recognising the diverse needs of all learners
• Create a supportive, challenging classroom culture

Professional Development

• Maintain high expectations for self and others
• Reflect on practice, set development goals and engage in CPD
• Support and contribute to team development and performance

Safeguarding & Safety
