About The Company

As a Registered Nurse with us, you’ll join an interdisciplinary team supporting students and residents across our college and residential provision. You will deliver safe, effective nursing care, uphold the highest professional standards, and help shape an environment where individuals can thrive.

You will also act as a practice leader, guiding care teams, promoting quality, and championing positive outcomes across a 24-hour service.

This role is required for 52 weeks per year, working 40 hours a week within out Residential setting. 

About The Role

What you'll be doing: 
  • Delivering person-centred nursing care, assessments, and care plans.
  •  
  • Supporting individuals with complex health needs, including, but not limited to:
    • Enteral feeding (PEG/NG)
    • Tracheostomy care (where applicable)
    • Wound/pressure care
    • Epilepsy management
    • Oxygen support
    • Other duties:
    • Safely managing and administering medication
    • Promoting wellbeing, independence and access to learning
    • Recognising deterioration and escalating appropriately
    • Leading practice across the service, providing coaching, observations and competency assessments
    • Supporting safeguarding, risk management and safe care environments
    • Working collaboratively with families, advocates and external professionals
    • Contributing to audits, quality initiatives and continuous improvement

    What We’re Looking For

    Essential:

    • Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with active NMC registration
    • Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism or complex health needs
    • Strong knowledge of the NMC Code, safeguarding, and person-centred care
    • Excellent clinical judgment, communication and documentation skills
    • Ability to lead, coach and support care teams
    • Compassion, professionalism and a commitment to high standards

    Desirable:

    • Experience in education or 24-hour residential settings
    • Experience with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
    • Clinical competencies relevant to the role (PEG/NG, tracheostomy care, epilepsy care, etc.)
    • Understanding of MCA, CQC standards, and multi-agency working
