About the Role
As a Salutem Academy Trainer, you will deliver high-quality induction, mandatory and statutory training—across Adults, Children’s, Supported Living and Education services. This includes facilitation of Conflict Management & Resolution (PBM), supporting staff with e-learning, and contributing to a robust organisational training strategy.
This role is home-based, but regular travel is essential, particularly to:
- Newcastle
- Lancaster
- Manchester
Occasional travel to additional regions may also be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, person-centred training to staff across multiple disciplines.
- Work collaboratively with L&D Coordinators and Operational Managers to identify local training needs.
- Support the planning, delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement of learning programmes.
- Assist with the creation and management of e-learning content.
- Ensure training programmes meet regulatory and statutory compliance standards.
- Maintain a safe, positive and inclusive training environment.
- Contribute to the development of evidence-based practice in relation to Conflict Management, Resolution and Positive Behavioural Support.
- Keep training materials relevant and up to date with sector changes.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- A training, teaching or education qualification (PTLLS or equivalent), or willingness to work towards.
- Experience delivering face-to-face and virtual training to diverse groups.
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs or behaviours that may challenge.
- Strong communication, presentation and organisational skills.
- Competence using Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work autonomously and travel frequently.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable
- Conflict Management & Resolution training experience.
- Sector qualifications (e.g., Health & Social Care Level 3, professional clinical qualifications).
- Experience co-ordinating learning & development in a health or social care setting.
- Knowledge of Skills for Health / Skills for Care frameworks.
