Join Our Team: Teaching Assistant (Term Time Only)
Reporting to: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Term Time Only (39 weeks)
Salary: £22,121 - £24,084 pa (£12.40- £13.50 per hour).
(FTE 52wks £25,792 - £28,080). Dependent upon experience
About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. You’ll play a vital role in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SCLN), and complex needs—helping them access education in a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education.
- Provide tailored support to students individually or in small groups.
- Help organise classroom resources and displays to suit diverse learning needs.
- Assist with planning and risk assessments for on- and off-site activities.
- Create effective teaching aids and resources.
- Support students in developing independence skills, including personal care.
- Promote students’ physical, educational, and moral development.
- Contribute to student documentation and school development initiatives.
- Participate in staff training and development programmes.
