Job Responsibilities:
This document outlines the duties required at the current time to indicate the level of responsibility. To carry out general housekeeping tasks within college both individually and as part of a cohesive team in order to ensure that the college improves upon and/or maintains its level of cleanliness and hygiene at all times in line with infection control policy and procedures:
- Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors and carpets were applicable
- Empty waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points.
- To dust, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges and window sills, external surfaces of cupboards, radiators, shelves and fixture and fittings.
- Cleaning and sanitising toilets, urinals, showers/baths, countertops and sinks.
- Maintaining clean sanitary kitchen areas.
- To undertake wall washing or inside window panes, cleaning to a height no greater than body height, plus an arms extension from floor level, during periodic cleaning.
- To replenish consumable items such as (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels) when required.
- Reporting any necessary repairs or replacements to your line manager.
- To work a deep clean rota in college holidays to endear to infection control policy and procedures.
- To help out if necessary in college laundry room.
- To conform at all times with Health and Safety, fire, risk assessments and COSHH.
- To liaise/communicate with the Support team to ensure continuity of tasks.
- To undertake appropriate training, as determined by Salutem Policies and Procedures.
- Perform other related duties as determined by the College Principal, Business Manager or Maintenance and Housekeeping Manager.
