To ensure that Salutem educational program, policies, and procedures meet and exceed established standards of quality and compliance. The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance processes, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring these meets regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Working in collaboration with Principals/Heads and senior teams and reporting into the Interim Group Quality Assurance Inspection and Regulations Director, you will be responsible for ensuring they are familiar with the correct and current regulatory national standards in relation to each Education provision, overseeing progress on regulatory recommendations and requirements to ensure each educational provision is working to the highest standards.

To work alongside the Interim Group Quality Assurance, Inspection & Regulation Director in providing robust monitoring and governance systems in ensuring that Salutem Education comply as a minimum to quality performance indicators and exceed regulatory requirements and support educational provisions on a journey towards Outstanding.

Monitor compliance with national and international accreditation standards, educational regulations, and internal policies.

To provide support and information to Principles/Heads to enable effective responses to regulatory reports.

To develop and maintain effective working relationships with external local compliance managers and inspectors that ensures effective and regular communication.

To work closely with the shared service teams to ensure a consistent and robust approach to achieving best practice.

To undertake quality assurance assessments and inspections in line with the Salutem Assessment Framework ensuring outcomes are measurable.

To keep abreast of landscape regulatory (Ofsted and Estyn) changes working collaboratively with colleagues to meet maintain compliance.

Conduct regular audits and assessments of educational programmes, teaching practices, and administrative processes.

Develop and maintain systems for collecting data on educational outcomes, student performance, and other key metrics.

About The Role

Location: National remit for all divisions Hours: 40 hours a week Work Alongside the Interim Group Quality Assurance, Inspection & Regulation Director, set quality improvement objectives and recommendations for the company that are benchmarked against all legal frameworks and external and internal accepted standards, research and good practice and track and report this progress against clear targets. Develop and implement quality assurance frameworks and policies to ensure educational excellence. Undertake internal regulatory compliance inspections in agreement with the Interim Group Quality Assurance, Inspection & Regulation Director and ensure that annual program of inspections is achieved and that responses to significant events that have characteristics of underperforming are inspected and supported. Ensure that accurate and timely collection of meaningful quality data and reports are provided to the group leadership team to ensure that an understanding of benchmarks of standards and regulations are present in all Educational settings. Develop, implement and monitor relevant and appropriate action plans in relation to non-compliance and/or poor performance and the development of Focused/Outstanding plans for Education settings that are ready to move to the next level. To provide thematic reports to the Interim Group Quality Assurance, Inspection & Regulation Director of internal and external compliance reviews including lessons learnt. Ensure that any issues or concerns of compliance, standards of care and legislative regulations are identified, understood and planned and in partnership with Interim Group Quality Assurance Inspection and Regulation Director, implement change where this is required, to a level that meets the outstanding outcomes. Working with the Interim Group Quality Assurance, Inspection & Regulation Director and Interim Group Head of Regulatory Quality Assurance and Policy to lead on specific projects to ensure that appropriate service development strategies are in place to support the varying complexities of Job Responsibilities: People who use services, incorporating industry best practice and to be a leader in their respective field. To ensure appropriate quality outcomes have continuous improvement in practice leadership in all areas for the people who Salutem Education support. Analyse data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement. Exercise strong leadership and decision making in a style and manner consistent with the company’s values, ensuring the ever-changing needs of Salutem Care and Education are communicated and represented. Develop and promote an open and fair culture to ensure that Quality concerns are managed appropriately, sensitively and proportionate, focusing on corrective and developmental action and lessons learnt. Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and meetings to promote quality practices. Secure effective engagement with senior managers, departmental leads, Principals/Heads, to encourage cross professional collaboration to enable the education provisions to achieve outstanding and excellence in performance outcomes. Promote a culture of continuous improvement among staff and students. Regulatory Compliance Implement appropriate methods to monitor compliance against UK wide regulation through the use of regular internal compliance inspections. Identify areas for improvement in teaching methods, curriculum design, student support services, and administrative functions. Proactively assist Principles, Heads and staff, when necessary, in the successful execution of regulatory inspections. Ensure that there is a robust system for managing and having oversight on notifications to the regulator and to communicate these to senior managers where this creates an organisational risk. Develop sound systems to ensure that all regulatory evidence is effectively collated and updated and accessible at each Educational setting. Undertake internal regulatory compliance inspections as per an annual program and in response to significant events. Working with the Interim Group Quality Assurance, Inspection & Regulation Director, develop and implement appropriate professional standards and monitor adherence to policies and procedures at all levels within the group to ensure continued compliance. Ensure that excellence in communication and engagement of staff, individuals we support, and stakeholders is at the center of everything we do. To support and contribute to the development of a quality strategy. To support and contribute to the development of the annual quality assurance and regulatory report. Essential Core Competencies • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Quality Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred). • Minimum 5 years social or health care experience. • Extensive experience in quality assurance, preferably within an educational setting. • Strong knowledge of educational standards, regulations, and accreditation processes. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills. • Proven ability to lead and manage quality improvement initiatives. • Auditing and inquiry effectiveness experience. • Experience in delivering change within an organisation. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
